EV Journey

Either tomorrow afternoon, or more likely Friday, I pick up the keys to my first EV, the Hyundai Elexio Elite in Crystal White with the Dove Grey interior. Initially I dithered on whether I would go black or dove grey on the inside, but ultimately decided the lighter interior just had that premium look and feel to it.

I think one of the things that attracted me to this car was a lack of glass roof that seemed so common with many of the electric cars I had looked at, so impractical for the Australian environment. Being a techie, the ultra-sized screen was also not difficult to glance at twice, I’ll be interested to see how Waze looks when driving.

I am really looking forward to seeing how the car responds to voice commands rather than relying on gesture-based input for changing things. How easy is it to perform functions? I also look forward to seeing how CarPlay works never having used it before and how iOS 27 with a Gemini infused Siri improves things.

Will be interesting too my first time charging the car, how long did the car last before needing its first charge and how long did it take to charge. I’m so that person that refills the tank at half full as I may not make to the corner shop, if you know what I mean.
