I joined a few EV-related groups on Facebook about a month ago, mostly it’s people querying about which car should they buy, home batteries, and the like. But occasionally there’s that post that has you scroll back up the feed, last night it was for the Elexio group when someone shared a video on their using Park Assist. I’m embarrassed to say I hadn’t yet noticed this in the car, I still haven’t explored the features that much.
Their video showed them within a rather empty parking area, hinting perhaps you mightn’t want to test the feature with others behind you suggesting it may be a tad slow. They then activate and drive ahead whereupon it discovers a bar available, then person selects and it begins the process of reversing in — it wasn’t the fastest, even grandmas might shake their fist.
I have to say the parking sensors and tech on the Elexio are rather sweet, I do like that it tells you roughly how far you are away from an object. At home when parking in front of it gate, it’s useful telling me in roughly 50cm away rather than just using and increasing level of pings alone as I get closer.
