The NSW Government has announced its 2026 NSW Electric Vehicle Strategy backed by $100 million in funding. The strategy has five priority areas:

  • Chargers in areas of need, particularly rural and remote
  • More kerbside chargers
  • Supporting organisations to electrify their fleet of small to medium size trucks
  • Training 2000 mechanics in rural locations to service EVs and infrastructure
  • Strengthening sources of reliable information

The strategy has a two year timeline for implementation, it will be great to see the added infrastructure and qualified personnel to support it.
