I took the Hyundai for its first car wash today, the windscreen looks rather streaky despite several attempts at cleaning with the wipers. I figured almost two weeks driving it was about time.
One of the modes the car can be set to is that of car wash, this is designed to protect certain features from becoming activated during cleaning, such as:
- Preventing the charging door opening
- Turning off auto wipers
- Tailgate cannot open
- Mirrors auto fold inwards
- All windows are closed — particularly handy that
- Door handles are flush to door
This mode remains active until you either press the button on-screen to terminate or your speed exceeds 20 km/h.
I used voice commands to activate, though my first attempt failed, the car didn’t understand my request but thankfully the second attempt proved successful. I wouldn’t have known where to find quickly had it have failed as I had already driven into the auto wash; phew!
In any case, car is again nice and clean along with the stylish new car mats that arrived yesterday for the cabin and boot. I’m rather glad of the one of my boot as the large plastic containers I store groceries in had been sliding on the factory-fitted surface but not so these new mats.
