Though I am a Waze user, on my trip to Canberra this weekend I have tried the car’s inbuilt maps system for the first time curious what it was like.
As I was driving with the car’s maps I did notice beyond the ability to expand maps to full-width there was an expand function on the directions and got curious what this did.
Clicking expand the next several turns are then shown to you as a floating window, hugely useful I think you’d agree, especially given it includes which lane(s) you need to position yourself in, something I don’t get in Waze.
As I yesterday experienced an issue with CarPlay whereby my maps appeared blank as I drove, these maps may become more regularly use I think.
