I’m just a few days into having swapped from iPhone to Samsung and enjoying the experience. One thing I noticed this morning related to my favourite navigation app Waze and how it differs ever so slightly between CarPlay and Android Auto versions.
In CarPlay, if you were wanting to use any of the App’s buttons these are oddly placed away from the driver to the left of screen, which in the Hyundai Elexio screen that is not only a widescreen but also positioned away from the driver more difficult to access.
Whereas in Android Auto, they’ve been smarter and positioned these buttons to the right of the app so the driver has easy access.
The only thing I seen to recall being slightly better on CarPlay was rendering of the map, I am not sure if it was zoomed in a tad more than it is on Android but I find the map smaller and harder to see.
