Yesterday, waiting for coffee at a drive thru coffee vendor in town I had a minor accident in my EV and have some panel damage to the front of my car, though only minor thankfully, the kind you have to get up close to see. Still, it is frustrating as I’m shortly to go overseas and was to drive to Melbourne in the car, instead it will have to go in for repair and I’ll take my BMW instead.
Given this, I figured I’d fill the BMW for the first time in probably four or five months, a whole quarter tank showing just how often I drive it now. Ouch, 16 litres of premium diesel cost me more than the entire cost of last week’s return trip in the EV to Canberra, that only came to $39.58, this morning’s fill came to $46. At this rate I’ll need to approach the federal government for a support package to fill the car I think.
