This morning I headed to town early for a coffee and to pick up a few items for the day, for once no one was behind me and I decided to try out my Elexio’s auto parking function.
First of all, I’ll say this function was not the easiest to activate via the touch screen, it took several goes to get it to activate the app, then again to start the parking function. Once I had gotten past this I was then required to select from one of the available bays it had located and then come to a stop at which point the car takes over.
I had heard from Facebook forums that it wasn’t the fastest, hence why I avoided trialling until a quiet time of day, I’m glad I did as it was definitely slow. Its initial reversal was mistimed and it needed to pull forward for a reattempt upon which it navigated slowly but perfectly into the space.
It was a cool feature to try out this one time but I think I’ll stick to reversing in myself, I’m definitely faster at it. As I mention, access on-screen was definitely difficult, though could have been improved via voice control.
