EV Journey

So, I’m going to pick up pizza I’d ordered for dinner tonight at Crust in town; they’re particularly good if you don’t have them where you are. I’ve placed my iPhone on the car’s charging pad to get a bit more charge, as I’m driving I notice the charge says 39% and have a WTF moment, where did my battery disappear to suddenly — but also, surely the car will charge it up some as I drive.

I continue driving and notice it isn’t improving, why? I’m starting to get a tad narked now. Is there a problem with my phone.

As I head home I decided to get a few cans of Wild Turkey bourbon for the evening, my favourite kind of bourbon mix. As I go to pay at the drive thru I grab the phone to pay — 71% charge. It then dawns on me, I’d been looking at the car’s battery the whole time. See what happens when you need a tad more sleep in your week! There’s no helping me — put me out to pasture guys!
