After continuing issues with Android Auto, today I remembered to bring a USB-C cable with me to see if this may improve things, it would seem not. It appears there’s a known issue as written on the XDA Developers website. Despite having checked these settings on my phone yesterday, it hasn’t made a difference for my drive today with Android Auto disconnecting often as I neared the end of my journey.
Thankfully, I still have my iPhone 17 Pro and can use this though it doesn’t currently have an eSIM and is running iOS 27 developer beta 1, so might its CarPlay similarly experience issues?
I am hoping that as OneUI 9 for my phone, with Android 17, is currently in late-stage development that these issues may be resolved with this. Or is this too much hope?
