After experiencing issues with Android Auto, I discovered the issue was a tad more widespread with the platform and a resolution may be possible according to XDA Developers by updating Google Play Services within Apps.
Upon investigation on my own Samsung S26 Ultra I discovered I already had the update installed, so I took the view that it was only after this update was installed things started going awry. So, clicking uninstall, I was reverted, after confirming I indeed wanted to do this, to the older version.
I later discovered this action had side effects for me, though not immediately obvious until the following morning. Positively though, it did resolve my Android Auto issue as getting in the car the following morning I no longer experienced disconnect issues.
The issue I did experience came in the form of my saved payment cards in Google Wallet having to again have their authorisation codes re-entered, I didn’t know about this until I was at the pharmacy and having to pay—wonderful; I had to crack the physical cards out and dust them off they hadn’t been used in so long.
That night Samsung released the latest the June security updates for my phone, I’m hoping these haven’t set me backwards with Android Auto.
