Having been ill recently for a week I didn’t get out of the house much, so Saturday I was determined a trip to Canberra was the go. First port of call was the Tesla superchargers as I only had 60 percent charge, not enough to make it and get around; thankfully a top up from here wasn’t going to take that long or cost that much — sub $10.
My first stop before Canberra these days is in Yass to again top up the car, just to 80 percent, so I’ve juice enough to drive around and not need to think about charging whilst there. For the first time whilst charging I actually left the car and went exploring, though quickly discovered the chargers aren’t near any services essential to life — the coffee bean variety that is.
Soon enough I was off and to Canberra Central (shopping centre) to explore and later have lunch at this exquisite Japanese restaurant, Omi, where I had an iced strawberry matcha with a Wagyu beef dish on rice and Japanese curry sauce that was amazing. I had wanted to go here for some time but hadn’t found them until my previous visit to the shops in June and they were full-up.
Before leaving I got myself some new sneakers for my walking, sadly not on sale, but so comfortable as the ones I’d gotten online earlier in the year were a tad uncomfortable on the toes.
Before heading home I was again back at Yass to recharge once more ahead of the 3-hour drive home. I couldn’t be bothered with the 1-hour wait to charge to 100% do again just to 80%, so was again to the Tesla chargers this morning for the fourth charge in as many days. I certainly got my money’s worth from the Tesla membership this month! I like too that bring in a novated lease I get to claim back my charge costs, spent $66, highest since getting the car.
